Workshops

Natural Building
In 2026 we will be running a series of natural building workshops focussing on building low-tech medieval animal shelters using all local natural materials....basic wattle/timber frame, straw thatching and clay plastering. This is a series of free workshops, with the final product being a useful addition to the infrastructure of the CIPI herd.
We will also be building a biogas digester, cob pizza oven and delving into the world of straw bale construction and rocket mass heaters, biogas digestion, roundwood timber framing and more....

Creative Expressive
Therapies (CET)
About CIPI Workshops
An oct-annual permaculture-informed creative therapy group following the ebb and flow of the seasons in alignment with our 'Embodied Energetic Year' to explore feelings/emotions using the creative arts. Dance, music, drama and visual arts are used as vehicles of expression through which participants may explore their true natures as we find ourselves in the season. Using often abstract and symbolic media can bypass many of the constraints of talking therapies and enable genuine expression of the unconscious, "a pathway to the soul" and allow us to be grounded in the present, and align with the sun's energy. The focus is on creative play, emotional validation and the therapeutic value of group dynamics being explored in an emotionally safe and non-judgemental environment.
